"If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable."
Proverbs 28:9
A heart inclined toward God opens the way for Him to have ears inclined toward us.
If I do not have my intentions in the right place, and if I am not following the law, I can't expect my prayers to be doing anything different. The are detestable to Him.
